It's a Monday, but actually Tuesday

I'm in that total "Monday was a holiday and it's Tuesday but still feels like Monday" confusion. Almost forgot that it was diaper service pick up day. Kept thinking I needed to be places that I don't. The good news is that once the confusion wears off, the week is half over.

Going to a mandatory meeting tonight for Spirit Academy. Will be nice to finally meet some of the other families.

We accomplished our HS goals for today and I'm proud to say that dd made a perfect lower case "a". May not seem like much, but it was huge for us. We are focused on quality handwriting. We are still working on the letters individually and haven't moved onto copywork. She has struggled with her fine motor skills, so we both felt quite proud!

Still working on habits - this month is about paying attention. At home, we are laying out our clothes every night and making the bed every morning. For those of you who've had children who have done this since they were walking, don't judge. I don't have these habits myself, so it's double work for me. I figure, we'll all grow together, and that's a good thing!

Well....here we go!

We are taking off this year with a blast! We've already had one week of school done and now we begin another part of our adventure with Spirit Academy this week. My eldest dd6 will be attending this university-model school 2 days each week and home with me and ds4 and dd1 the other 3 days. Exciting? Yes. Scary? Yes.

We are also following the curriculum for Year 0 for ds and Year 1 for dd on http://www.amblesideonline.org/ and it proves to be a year full of wonderful books, excitment and anticipation.

We are hard at work on habit training taking 1 habit at a time.

I feel so blessed and thankful to have my precious angles with me much of the time. Though I do need the occasional break, I wouldn't have it any other way.
